This article goes over how to duplicate a course on your Knorish site.
You might want to duplicate a course to keep an extra copy for backup, or if you would like to build a new course that uses parts of the same curriculum as an existing course.
This article shows you step by step on how to achieve that.
Course Duplication
In order to duplicate the course, please follow the below steps:
- Go to the dashboard.
- Click on the "Courses" tab
- Select the course you want to duplicate
- Click on the "Duplicate" button
- Choose the content that you want to include in the duplicate course
What all gets duplicated?
The following content types are duplicated automatically:
- Videos
- PDFs
- Embeds
- Downloadable files of chapter
What Is Not Duplicated?
The following content types are not duplicated:
- Live events
- Live Sessions
- Page Builder
- Assessments
💡 IMPORTANT CONSIDERATIONS:
- The duplicate course will be denoted with an alphanumeric text in the title (e.g. - Painting for Beginners -aek212454 Copy). You can change the name of the duplicated course in the settings later.
- Chapters without any content will not be duplicated during the course duplication process. This means that if a chapter does not contain any videos, PDFs, embeds or downloadable file, it will not be included in the duplicated course.
- All downloadable files added to the existing course are automatically duplicated and do not need your intervention.
