Common Technical Issues

In case you face any technical issues, please feel free to submit a ticket at the earliest and we will be glad to help you. However, there are a few common issues that can be resolved on your own such as:

  • Page not loading
  • Page not displaying properly
  • Images not showing
  • Slow speed
  • Changes not reflecting post submission

While this list is only indicative, the majority of the concerns can be resolved by simply following the steps listed below:

Browser Malfunctions/Issues

Knorish is a powerful platform that has been designed specifically to be device and browser-independent. This means that whether you're using Safari, Chrome, Explorer, or Firefox, the platform would work fine on any. However, if you do feel that the browser is malfunctioning or crashing, you may need to update your browser to ensure it has the latest updates.

Fortunately, most modern web browsers will automatically update themselves so that you're always running the most current version. You no longer need to actually "download and install" the latest version yourself; it will do it for you.

If you’re experiencing problems, we recommend checking if your browser is up to date by visiting UpdateMyBrowser.org

Clear Your Cache

While browsing on the web, web browsers store cookies and website data in order to improve your experience. Clearing your system's cookies, history and temporary files can improve the performance of your system as well.

Third-Party Extensions

While third-party browsers can be extremely useful, they may cause issues with Knorish and sites running on Knorish. To check if that is indeed the case, simply open your Knorish account on another browser first or open the account in incognito/private mode. if the problem still persists, extensions are not a cause of concern.

To learn more about managing extensions in Chrome, visit the link: Install and manage extensions. For other browsers, the links have been detailed: Firefox| Safari | Explorer

Mentioned below are a few popular extensions that may cause issues in your Knorish Site and/or Account:

  • Adblock
  • Security extensions

In case you have a lot of extensions installed on your browser that too can be a concern as it slows down your browser and may interfere in browsing as well. Consider removing a few while you work on your account.

Test Your Internet Speed

Sometimes slow internet speed can also cause problems on your Knorish Site or Account. While there are several ways to check your current internet speed, we recommend you go to speedtest.net. Simply click Start and the site will publish the results.

Understanding the Terminology

  • Ping: The speed of your connection's response time after a request is sent out. It is measured in ms i.e. milliseconds. The lower the number better.
  • Download Speed: how fast your internet connection is able to move the data from the server to you.
  • Upload Speed: How fast you can send the data to others. In most cases, upload cases are lower than download speeds.

In case you believe that the issue is due to slow internet, we suggest restarting your modem, upgrading the internet, or contacting your internet service provider.

Restart Your Computer

In order to maintain your computer in optimal condition & health, it is imperative that they are restarted frequently. In case you face any particular issues with your Knorish account, 'Turning off and then turning it on' might just resolve your concern.

These were some of the common technical issues that are faced by most of the users. However, if your problem is still not resolved, kindly write to us & we will be happy to help you!

Email already Taken - Error Message

This happens when a user may have signed up on one of the sites being run with Knorish. With SSO enabled on Knorish, As part of SSO, once a user signs up on any of the sites running with Knorish, they simply have to use the email id and password used and they will be able to login to your site as well.

In case, the user does not remember the password, you can ask them to click on forgot password and they will get an email id to reset the password. This would resolve the issue.
