Types of Questions

Currently, there are two types of questions that can be created on Knorish: Objective Questions & Subjective Questions

Objective Questions

Objective Questions allow you to ask questions that are direct and close-ended, such as Yes/No, Single Choice, Multiple Choice, One out of many options, etc. There are no limitations to the number of choices or options that can be given. You can choose one option as the right answer or select multiple choices as the correct answer.

Note: The Platform does not have an option for partial marks. What this means is that if multiple options have been selected as the right answer, your students need to select all of the correct choices for the platform to consider the answer to be correct.

For every option listed in the question, you also have the choice to add an image or embed a video as well, where students may be asked to study the image or watch the video in its entirety to answer the questions correctly.

Subjective Questions

As the name suggests, subjective questions are questions that need the assessor to write detailed text-based answers. As such, you can simply type the question, select the marks and save the question.

Important Tip: Subjective questions cannot be graded by the platform. Simply because there is no way the platform can understand the question, its context, the answer's relation to the question or the correctness of it. Hence, any assessment that has any subjective questions, the platform would not publish the results until the answers are graded by the course publisher. As a result, the course completion certificates can then only be issued once the subjective question has been graded.
