How to setup MX records (Email account) for your custom domain connected with Knorish

This article shows how to integrate an email service with your Knorish Site. There are several email Services which are available for sending and receiving emails with your domain name. 

In this article, we have considered the most commonly used ones such as Gmail, Outlook and Zoho Mail for sending and receiving emails. To enable using any of these emails, you would need to update the MX (mail exchange) Records  on cloudflare.

The MX record indicates how email messages should be routed in accordance with Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP, the standard protocol for all email.)

Here’s how you can enable Emails for your domain:

Gmail: Setup Gmail with Cloudflare

Step 1: Verify your domain on Google

You can only use the Gmail service after the domain is verified. As such, please follow the steps listed in Step 1 to get your domain verified. This may take some time for verification. Once the account is verified, then refer to step 2.

Step 2: Adding MX Records: https://support.google.com/a/answer/7174013?hl=en

Here please add all the MX Records as listed in the FAQ. How to add MX Records is listed in Step 4: Add the G Suite MX records

Please ensure to follow the steps point by point and add all the information per MX server address. Once done, do ensure to follow step 5 and verify with Google. 

As listed in the FAQ: 'The records can take several hours to update, so you might not immediately get new email messages in Gmail.'

Zoho Mail: Setting up Zoho Mails with Cloudflare

Step 1: Sign up for a Zoho Mail Account
Step 2: Complete the Domain Verification Step
Step 3: Add MX Records on your domain on cloudflare

Outlook Mail: 

Step 1: Add an MX record so email for your domain will come to Microsoft
Step 2: Add the Six CNAME records that are required for Microsoft
Step 3: Add a TXT record for SPF to help prevent email spam
